Freshman Common Read 

As a Southern freshman, you will open your mind to college by reading a common book over the summer and coming prepared in the fall to think about it, write about it, and listen to what others have to say about it.

Books will be distributed to you at New Student Orientation, and in a "mock" classroom of 20 students taught by an innovative and creative professor, you will embark on your first college classroom discussion about ideas and characters and meanings and language.
