New Programs and Innovations Committee
Minutes of February 3, 2005 (revised)
Present: A. Abugri, B. Horn, L. Bier, T. Fleming, C. Novosad
The NPIC meeting focused on evaluating and logging special topics
course proposals submitted for summer 2005. The following four courses
were logged:
ART 298: 2000 Years of Art and Architecture in Paris
MDS 298: Television and the Family
PHI 398: Contemporary French Philosophy
PHI 498: Lacan: The Poetic Unconscious
It was suggested that departments should be encouraged to submit their proposals in time
so that NPIC can complete its evaluation before they are signed by the Chair of the UCF. This is intended to ensure that proposals bearing the UCF approval are not sent back to
their departments for corrections or modifications.
