Meeting called to order at 9:35 am
T. Lin announced this will be her last semester serving as co-chair of NMC. She will be moving on to another committee. She encouraged existing members to consider the co-chair position
D. Weiss, UCF Chair, made a brief appearance to welcome everyone back to the new semester and to introduce Sophia Myers, UCF secretary, who will be assisting the NMC with minutes.
Review of Proposals
1. Mathematics: Revised Course Proposals
MAT 102 Intermediate Algebra
This course is designed to take the place of the MAT 101 and MAT 102 sequence. It will cover the same material in one semester, instead of two, and will meet for four instead of two hours per week. The credits assigned (1.5-3.0) reflect the need to accommodate, for a limited period (~2 semesters), those students who successfully passed MAT 101 and need to fulfill the MAT 102 requirement.

MAT 326 Regression Analysis was tabled pending submission of a Revised Program Proposal that indicates where the course fits into the program.
2. Economics and Finance: Revised Program Proposal
This Revised Program Proposal affects the Finance concentration. The changes require students to take specific courses to meet finance core requirements and international/global business requirements within the School of Business.
