I. Called to order 9:35am.
II. Announcements
• E. Schmidt asked that we tell advisors that the Russian language is being offered as Russian 100.
• K. Marsland announced the Relay for Life on May 3rd and asked us to sponsor a walker or student group.
• K. Marsland announced that the last date to submit a W course for Spring 2009 is April 17th.
• G. Cochenet announced that the Senior Art Exhibits are on display in Earl Hall. The opening is April 15th from 5-7:30.
• R. Mungo announced the CSU Assessment conference Friday at SCSU.
III. Approval of minutes of March 27, 2008 - minutes approved with 3 abstentions.

• Minutes were received from April 3rd and March 13th.
• The latest version of the Program Review Document will be disseminated to the UCF in the Meeting Packet for the April 10, 2008 meeting and PRAC will make a motion for the UCF to approve the document at the April 24, 2008 meeting.

• Motion to approve revised course proposal for IDS 300 Study Abroad, Direct Exchange - Approved.
• Motion to approve revised course proposal INQ 101: Intellectual & Creative Inquiry - Approved with one abstention
• Motion to approve Charter for the First-Year Experience Program Implementation Task Force - Motion approved: 27 in favor, 0 opposed and 3 abstentions.
V. Old Business - Continuation of discussion of role of School Curriculum Committees (SCC) in flow of proposals
• UCF discussed the role of SCC and NMC in the flow of proposals. Many mentioned their concerns and the general consensus is that efficiency is not always a good thing and that each committee adds a level to the proposals that would not be there if SCC was omitted from the flow of proposals.
• Motion: "Deans be notified in course approval process but not involved in the course approval process."
• This motion was tabled until next time.
