*Note: A discussion ensued about concerns the impact of changing a non-lab course to 4 credits to 3 might have on the larger community. For example, how does it impact faculty load and course scheduling? Are there guidelines that help to determine credits? UWIC has been requested to add the topic to its list for future discussion, and then to present its conclusion to the full UCF in the future.
**Note: A discussion ensued about concerns that a revised program proposal with 4 credits is being taught as a 3 credit. Addressed to Anthropology Department they determined not necessary.

• Motion to accept PRAC report that Computer Science is recommended for continuing approval.
• All approved motion
d. UWIC - minutes received
• Motion to approve the new courses HON 494 and HON 495 that will replace any honors classes in each department.
• Discussion: Since this is done at the University-level, no department will need to submit a program revision. These classes will also still be credited to the department in which they are taken. A professor teaching either of these courses will get .5 credit for that course.
• All approved motion.

VI. Old Business - Discussion Q & A regarding implementation of LEP - Polly Beals
Discussion: SCSU will be meeting with Gateway to discuss transfer issues with the new LEP courses. Mike Shea indicated that CCSU is also beginning to revamp its LEP program, so we will be working with them on transfer issues as well. P. Beals indicated that student advising about LEP will be through the INQ course and during the orientation. Also mentioned was the 'compact agreement' between community colleges. If a student, within the first 15 credits of taking courses at a community college, selects a CSU university and graduates from the community college with a minimum GPA of 2.0, the student will have automatic admission to the chosen university and 30 credits will transfer. Only those students will be able to transfer in with the original AUR courses.
A Teaching Academy is scheduled for June 2, 3, and 4. June 4 will be set aside for LEP course development, with special focus on Technological Fluency (TF) and Critical Thinking (CT) courses.
VII. New Business - UCF Constitution revision
Discussion began on the constitution revisions and will continue in the next UCF meeting.
VIII. Adjournment - the meeting was adjourned at 10:51am.
These minutes are respectfully submitted by Kathleen Rondinone
