Further Review ACC 200 Principles of Financial Accounting (Course revision)
Proposal to renumber ACC 100 to ACC 200. Four items need to be addressed:
- CSC majors specializing in Business must take this course. ACC 200 will be the prerequisite for CSC 200s a prerequisite), the NMC must have the course revision change for CSC 200.
- CPR sheets for all BUS programs should be changed.
- Proposal form needs to include catalogue description and prerequisite should be "sophomore standing".
John Kavanagh made a motion to request these changes; Ellen Budris seconded. Betty Horn will contact Computer Sciences and request they submit this form to NMC. Once the cover sheet, indicating this change, is submitted to Peggy, and she will notify us of its receipt.
Vote: 7 - 0 - 0
Further Review ACC 210 Managerial Accounting for Non-Accounting Majors (Course revision)
NMC had requested that the catalog description be on the cover page, and this has been done. Since this proposal involves a number change, NMC requests that the former number of the course be placed next to the proposed number (formerly ACC 221). John Kavanagh made a motion to request these changes; Lynn Kohrn seconded. Once the cover sheet, indicating this change, is submitted to Peggy, and she will notify NMC of its receipt.
Vote: 7 - 0 - 0
NMC reviewed some of the courses that were part of the Business School proposals and indicated that the following changes needed to be made in the proposals. (The Business School had previously been notified that these proposals are being held for further review.)
We request that all CPR sheets for these (and all course revisions in the future) be typed.
FIN 300 Corporate Finance (Course Revision)
The prerequisites in this proposal need to be renumbered according to other course revisions on the course proposal and the CPR. There may be other changes in the CPR form.
MIS Program Revision
Changes in CPR form should be checked to assure they are consistent with all changes in the program. Check to assure that proposals have been submitted for all changes in the CPR. Item #33 is hard to read.
ECO 221 Statistics for Business and Economics
Name and course descriptions are different in the catalog. Comments on prerequisites: no ECO course listed, name of MAT 120 not MAT 122 is given, meaning of "equivalent score" is not clear. CPR is not clear.
