New Proposals
CHE 434 Inorganic Chemistry
Course Revision
The NMC voted to approve the course revisions, and requested a typed proposal be submitted with the following changes:
Renumber face sheet to reflect new course number.
Remove "and" from course description.
Add reason for including CHE 372 in course requirements.
Approved 7-0-0
B.S. in Chemistry without certification
Program revision
The NMC voted to approve the program revision, and requested a typed proposal be submitted with the following changes:
Add "Foreign Language" to the list of affected department.
On new CPR sheet indicate the minimum credits for the major is 32.
Approved 7-0-0
B.S. in Chemistry with certification
Program revision
The NMC voted to approve the program revision, and requested a typed proposal be submitted with the following changes:
Add "Foreign Language" to the list of affected department.
On new CPR sheet indicate the minimum credits for the major is 38.

B.S. in Chemistry without certification, specialization in biochemistry
Program revision
The NMC voted to approve the program revision, and requested a typed proposal be submitted with the following changes:
Add "Foreign Language" to the list of affected department.
On new CPR sheet indicate the minimum credits for the major is 43.
For the CHE or BIO electives (item #32 on CPR sheet) delete CHE

P. Gallup requested a copy of the memo from D. Hetric, Chair of Foreign Language Dept., acknowledging the change in the language requirement.
CSP 298 Special Topics in Counseling and School Psychology

PSC 298 Special Topics in Political Science
This course was originally proposed as PSC 398. The NMC recommended that the course be renumbered to 298, consistent with the requirement of "sophomore status". Dr. Gelbach discussed this by phone with Dr. Critzer (Political Science faculty) who accepted this recommendation.
Approved 7-0-0
Dr. Serchuk, Chair of the UCF, met with the committee to review our performance to date. We discussed some ideas about changing the review process, but generally concurred that it is fairly efficient and worthwhile. Dr. Serchuk thanked the committee members for their hard work.
