ANT 475 - Methods in Archaeology (New course)
This proposal was created prior to the split-up of the Sociology and Anthropology departments. Accordingly, the "Department" field of the course proposal form must be updated. Motion to approve pending revision - V. Breslin, Second - K. Burke.
Approved unanimously (9-0-0).
COM 372 - Electronic Filmmaking (New course)
Motion to approve - J. Fields, Second - W. O'brien.
Approved unanimously (9-0-0).
MDS 200 - How Media Means (New course)
The unusual title of this proposed course was discussed, but, as none of the suggested alternatives meant what how media means meant, it was decided to leave it alone. W. O'Brien noted that the course will be required in the Media Studies major and not merely an elective.
Motion to approve (pending update of the proposal form and correction of minor typos) - K. Burke, Second - R. Glinka. Approved unanimously (9-0-0).

That UCF forms and instructions for new and revised course proposals now require learning outcomes instead of learning objectives, reflecting a mindfulness towards assessment.
