October 31, 2002

Present: Jon Bloch (chair), Kathy Mauro, Nancy Disbrow, Vince Breslin, Joe Fields, Karen Burke,Wes O'Brien

ENG 397 - Internship in Teaching Writing: Karen made a motion to accept and Vince seconded it. Motion approved.

MAT 372 - Linear Algebra: It was mentioned that the cover sheet should be typed. Vince made a motion to accept and Karen seconded it. Motion approved.

MDS 222 - Media Theory: Nancy made a motion to accept and Wes seconded it. Motion approved.

MDS 333 - Media Research: A lengthy discussion took place about the course level and if it should have pre-requisites. The department reps on the committee will take it back to department and discuss if the number should be changed.

PSY 331 - Tests and Measurements: Discussion about the catalogue description took place. Jon needed to check if commas needed in description. Karen made a motion to pass and Joe seconded it. Motion approved.

The group discussed the idea of outcome based assessments.
