COM 340: Communication and Product Information
A revised course proposal was reviewed that involves only a change in prerequisite from COM 200 to COM 335.

A revised course proposal was reviewed that involves the following changes: a new course title (formerly Practicum in Creative Message Construction), new prerequisites, and addition of course as a requirement (formerly an elective).

A revised program proposal was reviewed that involves a change in title and the addition of courses - two new courses (required), and four existing courses (elective).  The proposal also eliminated COM 333 from the program.

A revised program proposal was reviewed that involved a change in the number of required courses in minor from 3 courses to 4 and a reduction in the electives from 3 to 2.

A revised program proposal was reviewed that involves a change in title (formerly Creative Message Construction), change in concentration requirements (15 to 21 credits), and change in current concentration electives.

A revised course proposal was reviewed for General Chemistry I and II.  The catalog description was changed and an additional prerequisite was added: MAT 100 or 102 or placement into MAT 108.

MAT 095, MAT 100, MAT 101, MAT 102
Revised course proposals reviewed for the above-listed MAT courses. The changes involved increasing the number of credits for each course.  The proposals were not accepted, as the number of credits to be changed was not consistent as written in the proposals. Members from the Math department will be at the next NMC meeting to clarify the proposals and credit changes.


MDS 497 Internship
A revised course proposal was reviewed that involves changing the course credits from 1 to 3 to 1 to 6.

NUR 459 - Leadership and Management in Contemporary Nursing Practice
A new course proposal was reviewed for NUR 459, a four-credit course.  The prerequisite for this on-line course is admission to the RB/BSN program.

A new course proposal was reviewed for PSY 366.  The prerequisites for this course are PSY 100 and three additional credits in Psychology.

A revised course proposal was reviewed for REC 241.  The proposal presents changes in the title (formerly Outdoor Recreation Management) and the removal of all prerequisites (formerly REC 100 or dept. permission).

A revised program proposal was reviewed.  The change: Theatre majors are not allowed to take THR 100 to fulfill their University Fine Arts requirement.  Theatre majors must choose from courses in non-theatre arts disciplines, i.e., music or art.

A revised course proposal was reviewed.  The changes involve a new title (formerly Athletic Training III) and a new catalog description.  The course was approved and not the "L" designation.

SOC 440: Quantitative Analysis of Social Science Data
A revised course proposal was reviewed that involved a change in course number (formerly 470).  The number SOC 470 was used in revising SOC 370, which resulted in confusion among students, the Office of the Registrar, the Records Office, and Banner.  The new course number will alleviate this problem.
