Meeting called to order at 9:35 am

With the exception of SPA 404, Methods & Materials for Teaching Foreign Language in Elementary Schools, each of these proposals will be revised and resubmitted.
Review of Proposals
1. Foreign Language: New Course Proposal
SPA 404 Methods and Materials for Teaching Foreign Language in Elementary Schools
This course is designed for education majors seeking cross-endorsement in elementary schools. K. Laing requested a 29-character title for Banner.

2. Exercise Science: Revised Program Proposal
This Revised Program Proposal changes the credits of EXS 302 & 303 from 1 to 2 credits and EXS 402 & 403 from 1 to 3 credits. These changes reflect the required clinical hours and recommendations by the outside accrediting body. There is no change to program credits as the additional course credits replace credits eliminated from the program.

There is no indication on these proposals of the status of each of the courses as University requirement, program requirement, program elective or free elective. The Committee will request that the category within which each course falls be indicated on the proposal.
MAT 325 Design of Experiments
This course is not currently listed in the Undergraduate Catalog, neither under the Mathematics Department nor under Mathematics List A or B. The Committee will request clarification.
New Course Proposal
MAT 326 Regression Analysis
The proposal does not indicate under which mathematics list (A or B) this course should be placed. The Committee will request clarification.
