Attending:
Adam Abugri, June Cheng, Nancy Disbrow, Richard Glinka, Sean Grace, Richard Kustin, Kim Laing, Tricia Lin (chair), Kathleen Mauro.

Old Business:
English Education courses remain on the table; number of credits is being discussed.

New Business:
THR 151 - Stagecraft I ; 252 -  Technical Theatre Drafting, 238 - Lighting I, 296 - Technical Theatre Production I ,396 - Technical Theatre Production II: Tabled
No rationale, no former course description, no School Curriculum Committee Chair signature.

Proposals are being sent to NMC as a single copy, should NCM be responsible for making duplicates?  Response from committee - no, the department sending the course proposal to the committee is responsible for that action.

THR 365 - Stage Management: sent back to the Theatre Department.  The request to change the number of credits already appears in the catalog, though it had not been reviewed by NMC.

NUR 421  Spirituality and Nursing Assessment:  Motion to accept - Richard Kustin, second by Sean Grace.  Vote: 9-0-0. 
The vote to accept was passed with the stipulation the course description be modified.

IDS 470  - Literacy in the Content Areas and 471 - English Language Users in the Classroom: Motion to accept made by Richard Kustin, second by Kathleen Mauro.  Vote: 9-0-0.
The change: adding prerequisite of PRAXIS 1 to both courses.

MUS 215 - Materials of Music: Tabled.
Request for title and prerequisite change.  NMC has questions: is the course an elective in the major?  If so, according to the catalog, students have no room to take it.  Also, does it need to be added to the minor list?

MUS 300 - Beethoven; 302 - Baroque Music; 303 - The Classic Era; 304 - The Romantic Era; 308: Motion to accept made by Richard Kustin, second by Adam Abugri.  Vote: 9-0-0.
The change: removing MUS 115 - Materials of Music as a prerequisite.

FLA 404 - Methods and Materials for Teaching Foreign Languages in the Elementary Schools: Tabled.
Needs signature of the School Curriculum Committee Chair.
