Description of logged courses:

HIS 398 - History of Greco-Roman Religion
This course is a survey of the various manifestation of religions expression in the Greco-Roman world from the Bronze Age to the fourth century CE.  Major themes and issues will include the nature of sacrifice and ritual, the role of religion in civic and private life, and the interaction between traditional religion and Greek philosophy.

PHI 398 - African American Philosophy
This survey course will examine the various approaches to the study of African-American philosophical thought -- including the vitalist (cultural essentialist), existentialist, pragmatist, "neo-theological" and postmodernist/post-structuralist.  The course will explore the philosophical importance of American slavery, art, hip-hop/rap and race.

SPA 498 - Visual Approaches to Latin American
This course will study the culture and society of Latin America and the Caribbean through their visual art.  In conjunction with the analysis of historical texts, students will analyze specific objects in order to interpret their relation to a historical continuum and the notion of Latin American/Caribbean cultural identity.  The course is conducted in Spanish.

WMS 398 - Women, Autonomy, & Personal Financial Power
Exploration of the historic and current economic position and role of women, examining both accomplishments and constraints, such as personal financial literacy and competency, emphasis on the connection between women's financial autonomy, self-sufficiency, and social change.
