I. Notification of New Special Topics Courses

Description of logged courses:
ANT 298 : The Ritual Experience
An exploration of one of the primary forms of human expressions and creativity, from the humble handshake to senior proms to the complex rituals of birth, initiations and death.
ANT 398 : Osteology - The Human Skeleton
Students will gain expertise in the identification and analysis of the human skeleton, focusing on functional anatomy. By the end of the term, students will be proficient in the names and landmarks of all the bones in the skeleton, along with details of the musculoskeletal system and bone growth and development. Students will acquire skills to determine age, sex, and other characteristics.
MDS 398 : Reading Six Feet Under
This course will examine the mediated concepts and theses portrayed in HBO's television series, Six Feet Under, including death, bereavement, sexuality, relationships, motherhood and American cultural politics.
THR 498 : Project Design
Scenic projection artistry and technology. Historical survey, introduction to current practice, and practical work with image design and projection technologies in live performance setting.
