Description of logged courses
FIN 398 - Futures and Options Markets
This is an introductory course on financial risk management. Most financial risks are managed using derivative instruments such as Options, Futures, and Swaps. These financial assets are collectively referred to as "derivative instruments". The values of these assets are derived from the values of other mainstream financial assets such as books, bonds, etc, hence the name. This course presents a conceptual framework for understanding the pricing mechanism associated with derivative instruments and for designing risk management strategies using the same.
PSC 398 - Moot Court: Cases & Policy
Examination of critical court cases influencing public policy through case analysis and moot court.
B. In an effort to streamline the process of offering special topics courses, NPIC makes the following motion:
"NPIC moves to create university course numbers, 298, 398, and 498, as shells for special topics courses in all departments and programs, excepting those that are currently using those course numbers for other purposes."
Meeting adjourned at 10:50am.
Respectfully submitted by:
Greg Cochenet
