Program Review and Assessment Committee Meeting Minutes

January 31, 2002

Members present: Podnar, Page, Kumar

Page distributed an assessment packet that is used by Dr. Gerber's office to the members. A printed PowerPoint presentation titled "What We've Learned from Assessment" from a NEASC forum on Assessment is also being reviewed by PRAC. This sharing of resource material is part of the outcome of a recent meeting between PRAC members and Dr. Gerber.

Podnar will be contacting Ellen O' Sullivan regarding a "Mentoring Manual" and develop plans on how to disseminate it online

PRAC and Assessment office will work jointly on the Survey Instrument to assess departments that have undergone a recent program review and assessment. The Assessment Office is currently examining the instrument that PRAC developed and will provide feedback.

A proposal was made to discuss soliciting "model" assessments to use towards the mentoring process at the next PRAC meeting.
