PROGRAM REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE

Minutes of: February 5, 2004

Present: K. Buterbaugh, C. Coron, M. Moss, R. Mugno, H. Podnar, W. Shyam, L. Yacher.
 
Started: 10:30 a.m.

The first order of business was to determine the final PRAC meeting time for the Spring semester. The decision was made to shift the meeting time 30 min. ahead, and to plan future meetings from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. alternate Thursdays.

The meeting continued with a short discussion about personnel changes within the university, and the corresponding effects on the assessment practices. It was concluded that the assessment process needs a clear definition, in order to avoid departments' rejection. The members did express their optimism about the future of the SCSU assessment.

An announcement was made that the PRAC members are welcome to join the Assessment Conference planning meeting. The conference with the proposed title: "CSU Assessment: Creating Connections", is planned to take place on April 30, 2004, hosted by SCSU. As soon as more info is available (for example: the conference flyer), PRAC will provide the info to the UCF body.
