PROGRAM REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE                    
 
Minutes of: March 3rd 2005
 
Present: C. Coron (co-chair), R. Mugno, H. Podnar (co-chair), E. Schmitt, W. Shyam.

Started: 10:05am.

The committee members continued their organizational efforts for the PRAC's series of assessment workshops. A number of problems were addressed including speaker recruitment and selection, time and place of the workshops, and ways of publicizing the event.  The planning activities will continue over the next several PRAC meetings. The final details will be reported to the SCSU community.

The next topic of interest was the assessment standards for new undergraduate course proposals. Members compared the current course proposal forms against the graduate forms. Aside the graduate model, the decision was made to collect more data on other models. The committee would welcome any input provided by the UCF. The action was taken to contact chairs of School Curriculum Committees and find out more about their acceptance policies and any set of rules related to assessment. PRAC will continue their activities in this direction.

The CSU Assessment Conference planning committee completed the conference schedule, brochure, and the format description for the assessment grant's reports. PRAC offered to burn CD's with the last year conference notes and deliver to the conference participants.
