PROGRAM REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE

PRAC meeting started with the announcement about the open registration for the CSU Assessment conference. The conference is planned for Friday, April28th to be held at Central CSU. SCSU community members are encouraged to register. Online registration is available through the following link: www.ct.edu/Assessment . A member has reported that the web-site is experiencing some technical difficulties, but the registration is still possible by ignoring the errors. The technical problems are also preventing the last year's assessment grant recipients to submit their final reports. The website also provides a short list of useful assessment terms under the assessment glossary link. The conference brochure is also available.

Following PRAC's decision to compile a set of course proposal samples with added assessment language, PRAC considered a sample of a course outline provided by a member. Members agreed to collect more sample proposals to cover more disciplines. PRAC members will continue with their efforts in this direction.

PRAC is planning to organize another workshop celebrating positive assessment experiences at SCSU. The planned workshop will take place on May 3rd (Wed) during the community hour. PRAC has identified possible speakers, and will provide the final speaker selection to the UCF body soon.
