Program Review and Assessment Committee

Minutes for 12-06-2007

Present:  Mark, Cameron, Susan Felsenfeld,  Ray Mugno ( Chair / recorder), Lisa Rebeschi, Elena Schmitt.

PRAC continued its discussion of the Program Review Task Force Draft Document. We made the following suggestions and will be forwarding these to the Office of Assessment.

1. The Office of Assessment will maintain appendices for the document on-line including sample syllabi and rubrics.

2. For departments with outside accrediting bodies, every effort will be made to have the Self-Study and the Accrediting Report occur simultaneously. Efforts will also be made to have the Self-Study and accrediting report coincide in content. Scheduling the Self-Study will be the responsibility of the Office of Assessment and the department will be responsible for forwarding accrediting information to the Office of Assessment.

3. Revisions of the  Program Review Task Force Draft Document will follow UCF guidelines.

4. Rubrics for the 17 criteria will be provided and the appendices will be updated before PRAC will vote on the document.

5. The glossary needs to be finished and clarified.

6. PRAC membership will consist of 12-15 faculty members who are also members of UCF. As with any standing committee of UCF, the Chair of UCF can assign and dismiss PRAC members.
