PRAC Meeting Minutes
February, 28, 2008

Attending: Karen Cummings, Tom Radice, Susan Felsenfeld, Ray Mugno (chair), Patty Kahlbaugh, Kathleen Rondinone, Lisa Rebeschi, Mark Cameron (secretary). Guest: Marianne Kennedy

  1. The group reviewed proposed edits to the Academic Program Review Document Draft #9. We discussed minimizing duplication of effort for those programs with external accreditation processes. We decided that these programs could cut and paste from external accreditation documents to ours, and also attach selections from those documents when appropriate. We will not accept external accreditation as blanket approval for program review acceptance.
  2. The group agreed to have the draft document sent to the UCF steering committee and school deans after the next revision.
  3. There was discussion about whether the review process was essentially about evaluating programs or about helping them to engage in processes aimed at improving programs, or both. We will continue this discussion.
