1. Announcements

• L. Rebeschi met with Marianne Kennedy last week to discuss the development of survey templates to be presented by PRAC to Departments. C. Coron participated in meeting via conference call. Specifically, Departments will need templates for alumni surveys and surveys of current students. L. Rebeschi has drafted a document containing standard survey questions suggested by Office of Planning/Assessment and then department specific questions.
L. Rebeschi will email these drafts to PRAC members prior to our next meeting. We will plan to discuss and finalize our recommendations regarding these surveys at our next meeting on 3/19 as some departments are in need of these surveys this semester.
• L. Rebeschi has discussed some concerns regarding current format for presenting PRAC recommendations regarding undergraduate program reviews at UCF with Deb Weiss. We may need to consider an alternative process in the future (ie. brief presentation of department self-study at UCF meeting).
• According to the Office of Planning and Assessment, current 5 year schedule for Undergraduate Program Review may need to be reevaluated in light of economic climate and available resources.

2. Department of Psychology Self-Study Report - PRAC members discussed suggested revisions to report. These include the following:

• Standard 1 - Inclusion of a statement describing the Psychology Department's mission
• Standard 1 - Broaden discussion of "excellence" beyond that of min student GPA for admission and grade of C passing standard
• Standard 2 - make distinction between BS and BA program in terms of program goals
• Standard 2 - Include stated student learning objectives listed within Standard 2 to Standard 3
• Standard 3 - explain when the Undergraduate Proficiency Board will be developed
• Standard 3 - Describe how many students will be randomly selected for the measures described and how frequently these assessments will occur
• Standard 3 - How often will the clinical internship survey be conducted? How will the results of this survey be used for program assessment?

3. Discussion with Patty Kahlbaugh, Department of Psychology - Patty joined PRAC at 10:30a to discuss feedback from PRAC members.
L. Rebeschi to send Patty written feedback with suggestions for revised report. Revisions due to PRAC on March 11, 2009.

4. Meeting adjourned at 11am. Next meeting on Thursday March 11, 2009 from 9:35a-10:50 in Math Dept Conference Room.

Respectfully submitted by,
L. Rebeschi (PRAC co-chair)
