Guests: F. Harris (Journalism), VP Marianne Kennedy

1. Frank Harris, Chairperson, Department of Journalism presented an overview of the self-study report presented to PRAC. A question and answer period followed this presentation.
2. Members of PRAC continued the discussion of the Journalism self-study report following the formal presentation. Areas of strength and suggestions for improvement discussed in detail. These will be included in the PRAC report to follow. L. Rebeschi to write draft of PRAC report to be discussed at next PRAC meeting on 11/13.
3. M. Cameron suggested that PRAC and The Office of Assessment and Planning provide a variety of supportive materials to departments undergoing self-study. Specific items to be incorporated:
a. Sponsoring a 'clinic' in the spring for departments seeking assistance with program assessment and review.
b. Assigning a PRAC member to each department to act as a resource for the department as they proceed through the program review process.
