Minutes for PRAC meeting 4/8/10

Attendance:  Martin Hartog, Charlene Dellinger-Pate , Sue Clerc, Susan Felsenfield, Marybeth Fede, Thomas Radice, Patricia Kahlbaugh and Deb Weiss.

Deb Weiss attended the beginning of the PRAC meeting to make arrangements to meet with PRAC outside the normal meeting time to discuss issues regarding PRAC's mission, the review cycle, and any changes in the constitution that may be necessary this year.   This meeting is scheduled for April 16th from 11:45-12:45. PRAC then discussed the program review submitted by the Computer Science department.  This self-study, which included standards 1-17,  was prepared and submitted by Herv Podnar, the department's assessment coordinator on March 31st for the PRAC committee to review.  The first part of the meeting was taken up with evaluation and discussion of  each standard.  Consensus that all standards had been met and even exceeded was quickly reached.  The Computer Science program review is exemplary.  No revisions were found to be necessary.  The Computer Science department chair, Winnie Yu and the assessment coordinator, Herv Podnar, met with PRAC during the last 25 minutes of the meeting to share in the discussion of the self-study and to receive PRAC's feedback. 

PRAC offers the recommendation for continuing approval for Computer Science.
