PRAC minutes for May 6, 2010

The committee met to discuss program reviews submitted by Music and by English.  The Music program review  was prepared by Dr Craig Hlavac, and the English program review was prepared by Dr. Robert McEachern.  The program reviews for Music and for English covered standards 1-9 as per instructions in the schedule for program review for 2009-2010.  For each program review, PRAC members reviewed and reported on standards 1-3 and then on the specific standards - one subgroup focused on standards 4, 5 and 6, and the other subgroup focused on standards 7, 8 and 9.  This was a modification of the procedure followed all year for programs submitting reviews of standards 1-17. Attending the meeting were representatives from Music, Dr. Hlavac and Chairperson, Dr. Irving, and representatives from English, Dr. McEachern and Chairperson, Dr. Shea. 

Both Music and English submitted program reviews requiring only slight revision.   Music received a recommendation from PRAC of Continuing Approval.  English received a recommendation from PRAC of Continuing Approval.  The PRAC summary for Music is submitted to UCF for the 5/13/10 meeting.  The PRAC summary for English will be submitted to UCF for the  5/20/10 meeting.
