PRAC minutes for  March  10, 2011

Attendance:  Karen Cummings, Charlie Dellinger-Pater,  Susan Felsenfeld, Patricia Kahlbaugh, Tricia Lin and Tom Radice,

Not Present:  Sue Clerc, Marybeth Fede, Scott Graves

Meeting began at 9:40 a.m.  in ASC 229

Economics (BS) and Finance review:  Last spring, Economics and Finance had submitted a report to Prac and Prac had reported back to UCF with a recommendation of Conditional Approval.  UCF approved this recommendation which set into motion an 11 month period for revision.  That period came to an end this March, and Economics and Finance resubmitted their review for Prac on March 1, 2011. 

Prac reviewed the Economics (BS) and Finance department's revised self-study and met with Dr. Samuel Andoh and James Thoreson on March 10, 2011 (arriving at approximately 10:25).  Comments  on the 17 standards had been circulated via email and MySCSU group before the meeting.   After some discussion, the committee voted to give the department an opportunity to make some targeted revisions and to resubmit for a May meeting.  Very specific revisions were suggested and were communicated to the department at the meeting and in a follow up email. 

The spring 2011 calendar was adjusted for the spring and is now posted on the UCF website under Prac.  The Prac log has also been reviewed.  Remaining programs to be reviewed this spring  are World Languages and Literature, and Public Health. 

Meeting was adjourned at 10:50.
