ELEMENTARY EDUCATION AND HEALTH REQUIREMENT
Discussion of tabled proposal (from Spring 1999) to permit Elementary Education majors to use SHE 203 as their University Requirement in Health. 

UWIC offered a tentative approval pending receipt of new program revision form and signature sheet.  

Vote:  6-0.

GENERAL EDUCATION REVIEW CHARTER
On behalf of UWIC's General Education Review sub-committee, UWIC asks for UCF approval to extend its charter through the Fall 2000 semester in order to complete the work stipulated in the charter.

Vote:  6-0.

WRITING BOARD SELF-EVALUATION
To assist the Writing Board in its self-study, the WB would like to hear from faculty who currently are not participating in WB courses.  Please direct comments, views, praise, misgivings (all perspectives welcomed) to Megan Macomber, UCF representative to the Writing Board and Professor of English.

AMENDMENTS TO THE WRITING BOARD CHARTER
Mike Shea forwarded some proposed amendments to the WB charter. [note:  all charter sponsors must approve them:  the full UCF and the Academic Vice-President].  UWIC offers their votes for UCF consideration.

1.  that the charter authorizing the Writing Board be amended to include an alternate for the UCF representative (who will be expected to attend meetings along with the representative).

Approved 6-0-1

2.  that said charter be amended to allow the chair of UWIC to appoint the UCF representative and alternate to the Writing Board (after UWIC chooses them by a majority vote).

Approved 7-0
