University Wide Impact Committee Minutes

Follow-up on CPRs and Catalogs Confirmations:
The committee discussed the proposed CPR/Catalog Confirmation packet sent to the committee by Frank Harris for review.

It was stressed that the CPR/Catalog Confirmation sheet should go to every department chair or representative as a once-a-year event.

The two-page signature sheet was amended to say:   "This process was designed to ensure the courses offered on the CPR form sheet reflect the courses offered in the current university Catalog.  As the Catalog supercedes the CPR form, please ensure the CPR form(s) accurately reflect your department's information in the Catalog page(s)."

Also amended was bullet no. 7 (the word ''routing'' was inserted before the word process).

 On signature sheet no. 2, the signature of the NPIC chair was deleted.  The separate NMC and UWIC signature lines were merged into one and the word "or" was inserted between them.  The signature line thus reads:   ''NMC or UWIC.''

On the flow chart ''NPIC'' was deleted.

It was stressed in the committee that the All-University Requirements on the CPR form should reflect the Master Sheet.
 
The committee voted unanimously to accept the CPR/Catalog Confirmation packet with amendments.

Earth Science 104 AUR Proposal:
The committee discussed the Earth Science proposal ESC 104, Geohazards as an All University requirement. It was voted unanimously to approve the proposal pending the inclusion of additional documents (an amended CPR form and a letter of acknowledgement of notification from the Biology Department.)
