Minutes 11/18/10

Present:  P. Beals, R. Conforti, J. Fullmer, K. Gatsky, E. Keenan, J. Irving, L. Lancor, M. McClain, J. Mielczarski, J. Mills, B. Nakamura, A. Reynaga, M. Shea, J. Strawn D. Weiss.

I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:40 am.

II. Old Business
The standing committee continued to review LEP Tier 1 proposals.
UWIC voted 7-0-3 to approve ENV 101 (Global Environmental Issues, Tier 1 CT).
UWIC voted 9-0-3 to approve JST 110 (Narrating the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Tier 1 CT).
UWIC voted 9-0-3 to conditionally approve ANT 100 (Interpreting Cultures, Tier 1 CT).
UWIC voted 11-0-2 to table CHI 210 (Chinese IV, Tier 1 MC), pending further clarification.

III. New Business
The standing committee then reviewed of UWIC by-laws and discussed issues regarding the uniformity of language in the document and the use of Robert's Rules of Order.
