University-Wide Impact Committee
Minutes 10/16/08

Only partial members of the standing committee met informally on this occasion.

I. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 9:35am.

II. Old Business

The standing committee determined that a query be sent to the Director of the Honors program, the provost and respective deans for feedback regarding a UWIC proposal to create new course, HON 494, entitled Honors Prospectus; it also includes request for a name change for HON 495; it is currently titled Departmental Honors, and would be changed to Honors Thesis.

The standing committee determined that an invitation be extended to Rick Ricardi to attend the next UWIC meeting to discuss the capabilities of Banner regarding its ability to track potential and declared minors.

III. New Business

No new business was on the agenda.

IV. Adjournment

The meeting adjourned at 9:55am.
