3. Chair's Report:

K. Marsland reviewed plans for the committee to work on program assessment and revision. As part of the assessment process, all university faculty will participate in a survey regarding the WAC program. The survey will be administered after Spring Break.

K. Marsland announced that since online scheduling provides more flexibility for W course proposal acceptance, the target date for W proposals for Spring 2010 is April 15. Members of WACC will be discussing the flow of proposals in the coming months.

4. Director's Report:

D. Carroll announced that the deadline for the writing contest is March 6, 2009.  The first review of the submitted papers by subcommittee will be completed by March 13th. The review of finalists will be March 19th.

W workshops are continuing throughout the semester.

D. Carroll proposed that WACC members discuss the position of Director for the next academic year at an upcoming meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 11:00 AM.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Marano
