What's cooking for the next Practical Pedagogy Workshop, Co-Sponsored by WAC on 12/2/ 09?
Pizza & Toward Systematic Collaborative Peer Review and Response in the Writing Classroom
Join colleagues from across campus as we engage in a rousing discussion of how to get the power of peer review and response moving full steam ahead in our writing courses.
Discussion will include: how, when, and why to engage in this important pedagogical endeavor; information on the variety of ways/methods of designing and conducting peer review; how to form groups/partners; various ways to give comments/feedback (including in digital and online writing environments); how to train students (including how to get students to take it seriously!); and methods to assess student performances.
Hot pizza and yummy chocolate will also be waiting for us ☺
When: Wed, Dec 2 from 1:00-1:45
Where: English Common Room, EN D 253
Please R.S.V.P. to wacc@southernct.edu, so we can be sure to order enough pizza.
Last-minute walk-ins are welcome, too!
