photo of campusSouthern is fortunate to be the home of the Ethnic Heritage Center, an association of five ethnic historical societies:

  • Greater New Haven African-American Historical Society
  • Connecticut Irish-American Historical Society
  • Italian-American Historical Society of Connecticut
  • Jewish Historical Society of Greater New Haven
  • Connecticut Ukrainian-American Historical Society

 

The Center mounts exhibits, sponsors readings, and makes available its achival holdings for research. Included in the Center's holdings are New Haven Public Schools records and New Haven city directories for a number of years.
