NEASC Reaccreditation

In the fall of 2011, the university will undergo its 10-year comprehensive evaluation by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). In preparation for the evaluation, over the next two years, the university will complete a comprehensive self-study in which we will analyze our effectiveness as a teaching and learning institution and assess the extent to which we meet each of eleven standards for accreditation. A steering committee was appointed by President Norton in November 2009. Working committees of faculty, staff, and students have begun the work on the self-study. Check back here periodically for updated information regarding the self-study.

SCSU was last reaccredited in 2001, and that status was reaffirmed by the commission on the basis of interim reports submitted in 2006 and 2008.
