Online surveys

The Office of Assessment and Planning manages many surveys conducted throughout the year. Some surveys have included Parent and Student Orientation Surveys, Summer Session Surveys, and Student Success Evaluations. From the data collected, the Office of Assessment then compiles reports and frequency distributions in order to evaluate processes and programs to better serve the students and faculty in their experiences at Southern Connecticut State University.

  • The 2008 National Survey for Student Engagement (NSSE) is currently underway! Freshamn and seniors have received notification of a survey titled The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) 2008 through your mySCSU e-mail account. NSSE is a national study of college students in which Southern Connecticut State University is participating. This is an excellent way for you to provide feedback on your college experiences.

If you have not already completed your survey online, please do so today. If you no longer have your NSSE e-mail invitation with your unique and confidential login information, please go to www.nssesurvey.org and select "Don't know your login ID and password." Enter your mySCSU e-mail address and the information will be sent to you. You may also call 1-800-676-0390 for assistance.

Please take 15 minutes to complete the survey and provide Southern with valuable information that can lead to important discussions and constructive changes on campus. This is an opportunity for you to help shape the future of your institution!

  • The Faculty Annual Activity Report (FAAR) not only provides your department chair and dean with essential information to inform their reporting and decision-making, but it also provides faculty with the opportunity to reflect on their accomplishments and challenges during the year. Please submit your completed FAAR by June 30, 2008 . This year, the FAAR is available both as a PDF form and as a Microsoft Word document. Both versions are available for download.
