We welcome the global perspective of our international students and look forward to working with you as you move through the application process.
Southern Connecticut State University is a medium-sized university campus (about 12,000 students) located on 168 acres in New Haven, Connecticut--a coastal city approximately two hours northeast of New York City and two-and-a-half hours southwest of Boston, Massachussetts. And while quick and convenient public transportation is available for travel to both metropolitan centers, New Haven provides easy access to the scenic Connecticut shoreline, as well as the picturesque towns and villages of Connecticut's Northeast corner, the Berkshires in Massachussetts, and many more lovely New England settings.
What sets Southern apart from other schools is our friendly campus community where you will find academic excellence, innovative approaches to learning and close working relationships between faculty and students. With 114 undergraduate and graduate programs, Southern will prepare you for a rewarding "professional life" in fields such as business, psychology, nursing, education, liberal studies, biology, communication, and more.
Our Assistant Director, Aliya Amin (firstname.lastname@example.org), assists prospective students with the application process, evaluation of academic
records, and initial immigration issues. We encourage you to explore our web site
and contact us if you have any questions.
