Long-Term Study Abroad (1-2 Semesters)
We invite you to engage in the challenges and rewards of long-term study abroad! There are countless programs in which you can participate--some in English, some in the language (or languages) of the host country, and some combined--and full financial aid may apply, if you qualify. We will also ensure that the courses you take abroad will transfer to Southern.
Your first step is to attend one of our weekly informational sessions, dates and times for which are posted on this site and in our office, Engleman B 129, (203) 392-6756. Once we have received a signed approval form from your academic adviser (which you will receive at the information session), you can contact our office to schedule an appointment to work with one of our coordinators --Dr. Erin Heidkamp, Dr. Sobeira LaTorre or Michael Schindel. At that point, we will begin work on your exciting odyssey abroad! (We recommend that you begin to work with us six months to a year before you plan to travel.)
We are devoted to helping you become a global citizen, and we warmly welcome your participation in long-term study abroad!
(Jenna Tellerico and Alexandra Jefferson, who studied at Queen Margaret University, Scotland)
