Publications and experience
Mr. Warren became a public relations specialist after 12 years experience as a news reporter and editor at several New York and Connecticut newspapers. He wrote a nationally syndicated consumer column and won many awards for public relations and journalism, including the New England Press Association Award. He has served as president for the Connecticut chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and chairman of the Connecticut Hospital Association Public Relations Conference. Mr. Warren has also taught the founding class of the Executive MBA program in Health Care at the University of Hartford, and has guest lectured at the University of Connecticut and University of New Haven. Mr. Warren owns 2020 Marketing, which has managed public relations campaigns for dozens of hospitals, and a fine art gallery in Westport.
Mr. Warren is also an adjunct professor in the Communication Department at Southern. He has received nominations several years for the J. Philip Smith Award for Outstanding Teaching, coordinated the Adjunct Faculty Assessment Workshop for the Communication Department and created the Nuclear Explosion of Social Media event at SCSU.
