Thomas Mitchell

Thomas L. Mitchell began his collegiate studies at University of Hartford and transferred to SCSU to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Music. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his BA in Music. In 2009, he also received his Master of Science degree in Elementary Education and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA. In 2012, he enrolled in the Sixth Year program to receive a diploma in Educational Leadership. He is presently doing his internship as an administrative intern within the New Haven Public School system.

On a musical note, Mitchell has received many awards for songwriting, choral leadership, music compositions, and notoriety for being a well-rounded musician/artist. His most highly prized music group, Levitikuz Nation, begun in 2004. They have performed on many stages and have shared the stage with artists such as: Karen Clark-Sheard, Twinkie Clark-Terrell, Daryl Coley, Kurt Carr, John P. Kee, Tremaine Hawkins, Monique Walker, James Hall, B. Chase & Shabach, and many others. They have also performed on Bobby Jones Gospel TV Show and later released an album entitled, "The Gospel According To Thomas..."

Mitchell loves to create an atmosphere that exudes the purest essence of colorful sounds via vocal/choral music. He's also widely known for his teaching practices which embrace multiple genres via voice, piano, studio producing, and vocal techniques.
