SCSU Drumline

The Music Department, in collaboration with the SCSU Athletic Department and the New
Haven Public Schools, is looking for anyone interested in joining the SCSU Drumline!
The group will perform at selected SCSU home football games, primarily during halftime.
Auditions for the 2009 season will take place throughout the summer, on an individual basis. Those selected will be required to attend all Fall rehearsals, which will be held
on Monday and Wednesday's from 5-7:30pm. Interested? Contact Craig Hlavac, Director of Bands, for more information or to set up an individual audition.
Fall 2009 Drumline Audition Materials
At this time, the 2009 SCSU Drumline is looking for drummers playing only battery instruments (snare, tenor, bass, cymbals). Auditions will be comprised of rudiment performance.

All specific rudiment requirements are listed below, and should be prepared at the
Gold or above metronome markings.
Snare: Rudiments 12, 14, 27, 38, 39, 40
Tenor: Rudiments 12, 14, 27, 28, 39, 40
Bass: Rudiments 3, 5, 12, 15 (M.M. Quarter note = 60)
