Psychology Advising

Advising for Psychology Majors

After declaring your major in Psychology, you will be assigned an advisor, who will be available to discuss class selection, career goals, and other issues. You can find your advisor's office hours and contact information on the Psychology Website.  You may also (be able to?) make appointments with your advisor using Navigate.

Please see our program choices to be prepared for your advising meeting here.

Advising for Psychology Minors And IDS Majors

If you have a minor in Psychology or an IDS major with a concentration in Psychology, you should see your main academic advisor to receive your PIN. However, we have two Psychology professors who serve as Minor Consultants, Dr. Stiver (stiverk1@southernct.edu) and Dr. Durwin (durwinc1@southernct.edu). You can contact either of them for advice on Psychology course selection.
