Theatre Auditions

Auditions for the Musical: the boyfriend

August 30th and 31st at 7:00 p.m. in the Kendall Drama Lab. Callbacks will be September 1st at 7:00 p.m.

You must attend either the 30th or 31st. If you are unable to attend, and wish to be considered for the musical, contact the Department to make other arrangements.

Prepare a song from a musical to sing. Bring a copy of the sheet music with you. An accompanist will be provided. 32 bars of music is usually enough. You will not be allowed to sing an entire song, so choose the best part of the music that highlights your talents. If you can hit the "money note" sing that portion of the song. If you cannot hit the "money note" do not sing that portion of the song. Everyone must sing. Even if it's Happy Birthday. At the conclusion of the vocal audition there will be a dance audition. You will be taught a short combination. Please dress appropriately for this portion of the audition. Please wear dance shoes if you have them.

At the conclusion of the August 31st auditions, a callback list may be posted outside of the Kendall Drama Lab and on the back door of the Lyman Center if it is deemed necessary. If your name appears on the list, plan to arrive at 7:00 p.m. on September 1st. If your name does not appear on the callback list please remember to see the cast list.

The cast list will be posted by September 2nd 4 p.m. outside the Kendall Drama Lab and on the back door on the Lyman Center.
