As a student in one of our programs, you are expected to have a strong professional
commitment demonstrated by membership in several professional associations at the
state, regional, and national levels.
At the state level, each program expects that students will not only join their specialty association, but attend meetings and workshops, and be prepared to become leaders in their field. Our students have consistently had professional papers and research accepted for presentations.
Below are links to professional associations that can provide you with more information about the overall area of psychology/mental health, and with specific information about the fields of community and school counseling and school psychology. Although we've tried to group them somewhat by category, many of our students -- and certainly most practicing professionals -- belong to numerous associations which cross these categories we have created.
