Mary Cubitt
Mary Cubitt, University Assistant
Mary Cubitt has been with the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department
within SCSU since March 2005. She reports directly to the Chair and is normally in
the office only 3-4 days per week during which time she attends to a broad spectrum
of administrative requirements.
These requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Admissions: Contact with all Students re Matriculation, (EDL, EDD & RSM) requesting Resume, Essay, letters of Recommendation, Original transcripts, fees etc.
- Waivers: Contact with all Students re data required, interface with Dean's office and Waiver Committee, Planned Programs etc.
- Permissions and extensions to programs requiring written contact with students
Mary moved to the US from England some 17 years ago. Initially settling in Pennsylvania, she volunteered her PC skills to Doylestown Hospital where for several years she attended some 3 days per week working with their PC systems.
Prior to leaving England, Mary held, for many years, a full-time supervisory position within a multi-national company supplying heavy equipment to the Rubber and Plastics industries, her last title being that of "PC Development/Training Officer and Network Manager. In this position Mary had the responsibility for the management and smooth operation of the company's 50 user network which included the "Hands-on" implementation of user groups, setting-up of print servers, the limitation of access to specific users etc. The position required both domestic and international travel, the supervision of 8 staff and extensive communication with all departments from user up to Director level often involving information of a confidential nature.
