UTILIZING INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Workshop in the effective use of computer based instructional media including the planning, selection and production of materials. Prerequisite: basic computer skills or permission of instructor. Scheduled fall and spring semesters. 3 credits.
COURSE OBJECTIVES/STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate their ability to follow the basic steps involved in systematic planning for the use of instructional media - ASSURE model.
- Identify and describe the current state of technology for instructional media.
- Demonstrate satisfactory skills in producing multiple modes of instructional media.
- Produce quality instruction.
- Demonstrate group-process skills to work productively in an instructional design team.
