The full-time faculty members divide the academic teaching in the graduate courses,
undergraduate courses, and the service course, SHE 203, which is a requirement of
all education students in the School of Education. In addition, several faculty members
are engaged in administrative responsibilities, department and university committees,
and conducting research.
The School Health Education Program has adjunct faculty members who regularly teach
in the department. Most of the adjunct faculty members have either taught in public
schools, are currently teaching in public schools, or serve as a school nurse. Their
practical experience in teaching in public schools and serving as training supervisors
in the BEST program provide our students with learning experiences that are valuable
for future teachers.
