Upon completion of the Master of Science in Nursing degree, the graduate will be prepared to:

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are required to have a 3.0 quality point ratio in their baccalaureate program in nursing.   Applicants must have completed undergraduate courses in statistics, nursing research methods, and health assessment.   The applicant must submit a copy of current RN licensure and two professional letters of reference (one academic reference and one professional reference). For letters of reference the check list form, provided above, and reference letters on letterhead are required.  The applicant is expected to submit an essay and must appear for a personal interview at the Department of Nursing.  In keeping with university policy, the program of study is to be completed within six years beginning with the first graduate course applied to the program of study. Admissions is on a rolling bases.  Students are required to submit all documents associated with the application process directly to the School of Graduate Studies.  Once the Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Nursing has received notification that the Graduate School application is complete, the student will be contacted to arrange an interview.
