Public Health Department Academic Standards for Majors

B.S. ACADEMIC STANDARDS

B.S. public-health majors must achieve a grade of C or higher in all required major courses for the courses to be accepted towards fulfilling graduation requirements. Students with a grade of C- or lower in a required major course will have to repeat the course. Only two attempts are afforded a student to achieve the grade of C or higher, excluding all forms of withdrawal. Failure to achieve a grade of C or higher after two attempts will result in the student's dismissal from the public-health major program. Only public-health courses with a grade of C or better will be accepted as prerequisites for succeeding major courses.
