Mission Statement

The mission of SCSU's Department of Accounting is to provide a comprehensive, high quality instructional program in Accounting which is current and practical.
  
Specifically, quality refers to imparting skills and competencies students will need for professional effectiveness and life-long learning, emphasizing critical-thinking, problem solving and teamwork. 

Relative to currency, the program responds to the ever-changing demands of society and its many different constituencies within the State of Connecticut, the New England Region and beyond.

The program is practical as courses are offered in the evenings for working students and scheduled to allow for efficient completion of graduate and undergraduate degrees.
