student at computerThe Center for Adaptive Technology is a division of Instructional Technology and the Office of Information Technology at Southern Connecticut State University.  It was established in 1989 through a resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Connecticut State University System.  The Center enables people with physical, visual and learning disabilities to gain access to computer technology to achieve their academic goals.

The Center has a three-part mission:

  • Support SCSU students with disabilities
  • Support SCSU students in education programs
  • Provide community support
